Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

Reading Time: 2 minutes

This is a very refreshing, alkalizing, and hydrating smoothie that also helps you to gently eliminate heavy metals from your body.

When I make this smoothie I generally add stevia powder to achieve the desired sweetness but you could use raw honey or agave nectar if you prefer. The amount needed will depend on the sweetness of your pineapple.

However, I recommend you only make this recipe when you can find a perfect, sweet pineapple since under-ripe pineapple can be very acidic. These acids have a tendency to irritate the digestive system and can also cause tooth sensitivity.

You probably won’t need to add a lot of water because pineapple and cucumber are both naturally high in water. Start with the minimum amount possible and only add more if necessary. Those with a Vitamix or other high-speed blender will probably not require any water at all.

I recommend taking chlorella tablets at the same time as this smoothie because the combination with cilantro, will assist with the safe elimination of heavy metals from the body.

Cilantro mobilizes the heavy metals and chlorella helps to escort them out of your body. If you consume a lot of cilantro without the buffering effect provided by chlorella you may be releasing the heavy metals into your bloodstream, only to reabsorb them again.

Clinical studies show that the combination of cilantro and chlorella can naturally remove an average of 87% of Lead, 91% of Mercury, and 74% of Aluminum from the body within 42 days.
