The secret to creating a creamy texture in this simple and delicious smoothie involves including the seeds of the melon, which are normally discarded.
Cantaloupe contains a compound called adenosine, which has positive effects on the function of the heart. It is also a very rich source of potassium and beta-carotene.
Camu camu is optional but it does add a tangy flavor and a huge boost in vitamin C.
This is a great smoothie to enjoy for breakfast or after a strenuous workout on a warm summer’s day.
Ingredients
- 1 cantaloupe with seeds
- 1 teaspoon camu camu powder optional
Instructions
- Scoop the melon with seeds and optional camu camu into a blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Notes
You can replace the cantaloupe with honeydew melon if you like.
