Since August 15th is International Green Smoothie Day we are going to be doing a green smoothie challenge this month.
I would like to challenge everyone to consume at least one green smoothie a day during August. When raw food advocate Victoria Boutenko undertook a research study on green smoothies the participants reported incredible health benefits after having a green smoothie every day for just 30 days.
Some of the things they noticed were:
- More energy
- Weight loss
- Eradication of cravings
- Improved eyesight
- Elimination of bad breath
- Improved digestion
- Clear sinuses
- Alleviation of depression
- Greater mental clarity
One green smoothie a day is a great first step to including more raw foods in your diet. If you want to take it to another level you might decide to commit to two a day, or even to consuming only green smoothies for some or all of the month.
