Here is a high-energy smoothie, packed with vitamin C and loaded with antioxidants. It makes a perfect start to a summer’s day or a wonderful post-workout enlivener.
For those who prefer a less-sweet smoothie, substitute some or all of the orange juice for water and add a squeeze of lime and stevia to taste.
If your goji berries are nice and soft it is fine to throw them right in the blender. Otherwise, if they are a little hard it is best to soak them in pure water for about thirty minutes before making your smoothie.
Either fresh or frozen mango is fine but you may find that frozen is more refreshing in warm weather.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen mango
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 ⁄4 cup goji berries
- 1 ⁄4 cup young coconut flesh OR 2 tablespoons shredded coconut.
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
This sounds so good. I’m going to have to give goji berries a try. I have never had them. Mango, orange juice, and coconut? What could be better???
