Today’s recipe is simple and pure. It is a great way to start the day because it is so light and cleansing and perfect for your raw detox diet.
I regard papayas as a true superfood. They are loaded with vitamin C and this smoothie gives you more than 4 times the recommended daily intake!
It works best when you have fully-ripened sweet papayas because the acid from the lime creates a nice balance of flavors. Your papaya should yield easily under pressure over the entire fruit.
If you find your papayas are not sweet enough you could add a little agave nectar to taste.
Ingredients
- 3 cups papaya cubed
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Enjoy immediately.
